How do I find used IP Addresses on my LAN?

lan
Brian A asked:

I can ping known IP Addresses and use NET VIEW to identify PC’s on my LAN, however, I want to search my entire LAN for all IP’s in use. I have routers, printers, tivo’s and serial devices on my LAN that I can’t remember the IP Addresses for and want to run a search to identify them. Since they have static IP’s, they don’t pop up in a DHCP table anywhere.

I am using Vista and XP on my systems.
