Wireless router?

I’m planning on buying a new router. I only need a wired router, but I’m thinking I might invest in a wireless model so that I wouldn’t have to buy a wireless if I get a laptop at some point. This might be a dumb question, but it is possible to use a wireless router that has a 4 port switch built in only for wired purposes, right?

Yes, you will find a lot of wireless routers with 4 RJ-45 ports (wired connections).

    yes, you can

You can but the wireless technology changes so fast that it could be obsolete by then. Alternatively, you could just invest in a good wired router and just add a wireless access-point when the time comes.

Yes, it is possible. Wireless routers have ethernet ports in the back for just this purpose. Try Bestbuy and get a wireless g router. I say this because if you want to play a psp or ds online, you need to set it to mixed, meaning g and b.
