A logic analyzer is a very useful tool for technicians that work in the digital and networking industries. But what exactly is a logic analyzer and how does it work?

A logic analyzer is a type electronic testing device which is used to test digital circuits to make sure they work properly. A logic analyzer displays the logic levels (binary numbers 0 or 1) of signals in the circuit which are too fast to be measured by any other type of equipment. An oscilloscope cannot measure the vast number of signals that a typical digital system possesses. A logic analyzer is a necessity for digital technicians because it captures data which cannot be captured by any other type of test equipment.
