It sure would. If they are home editions it would be a “workgroup” only and no Domain option. Not a big deal.

Would this work for my setup my? I have 3 computers with xp and 2 with vista?

Are you trying it via the home network thing or just mapping a drive?

  6. 18iser says:

Yes I did my windows7 and vista machine work fine on the network. But my xp machine doesn’t allow access to other computers on the network. When I try to access the xp machine I get an error like this:

//PCXP is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.

Logon failure: The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.

Sounds like you are not setup as an administrator. Did you setup your pc?

  8. 18iser says:

It doesn’t give me access for some reason I need passwords.
