I have recently bought an edimax router and two lan usb cards for my two computers. they were previously networked with a router with wires called D-Link, but i want to set up a wireless. I have installed the router and both cards, and the computers recognise both, but I can only manage to get the internet on one computer, the other says that we are offline

Are the wireless cards the same? (there is different types G, B, A, N…)
if not they must be the same. the router and cards must be compatible.
It may be an i.p conflict – can you connect when the other one is turned off? If so you need to configure your router to issue the ips correctly or manually set them in the properties of the network connection.
Can you actually connect with the faulty pc? dose it say connected to… try moving closer to the router or it may be faulty drivers update them from the company website
dose the router allow the pc to connect? MAC filtering
some routers only allow certain computer addresses to connect (MAC addresses) make sure this setting is off on your router.
